Former Liverpool player, Peter Crouch, estimates the Reds will get tougher challenges in defending the Premier League title. According to Crouch, there are three teams that could be a big threat to Liverpool, namely Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United.
After playing 34 games, the Reds only lost 10 points and 23 points ahead of Manchester City. They have already won the Premier League title when this season leaves seven matches.
Chelsea are in transition this season, but it looks like they will finish in the top four. Manchester United are unbeaten in 17 consecutive matches.
Crouch believes Liverpool have a harder task next season because other teams look better and have strengthened the squad.
“This might sound obvious, but the threat from Manchester City will be large,” Crouch wrote in the Daily Mail as reported by the Daily Star.
