Nepal Takes on Philippines in Friendly Encounter Ahead of SAFF Championship 2023
Nepal to play a friendly match against the Philippines ahead of SAFF Championship 2023 preparations. According to ANFA General Secretary Kiran Rai, Nepal is set to face off against the Philippines in a friendly match on June 15 as part of their preparations for the upcoming SAFF Championship 2023.
As the A Division League is mandatory to finish before the SAFF, ANFA will have less time to prepare the team. Nepal, currently ranked 174th, will be looking to improve their rankings against 136th ranked Philippines in this friendly match.
The 2023 SAFF Championship, is the 14th edition of the men’s football championship of South Asia organized by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). The championship will be held in India from June 21 to July 4. The tournament will feature eight teams, including

- Bangladesh,
- Pakistan,
- Kuwait, and
- Lebanon.
