ANFA reduced the suspension of four players

The suspension of four Nepali football players who were suspended after being found at a disco at midnight has been cut. The players had applied to the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) to reduce the action taken against them. Anfa’s disciplinary committee has modified their suspension.

Earlier, the meeting of the discipline committee of the ANFA, which was held on December 13, had suspended Anjan Bista and Santosh Tamang for 45 days and Bimal Gharti Magar and Dinesh Rajbanshi for 90 days, to be effective from December 16. The meeting of the Disciplinary Committee, which was convened today on the basis of the player’s appeal, modified the suspension period.

Now the suspension imposed on all four players will be considered effective November 16. Other sentences remain unchanged, the ANFA said. The discipline committee of the ANFA said that a research committee was formed to examine the irresponsible activities of these players during the closed training of FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Kuwait.
