Manchester City have officially completed the move of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.
The Norwegian international was bought by Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund for £51m. The arrival of Erling Haaland raises high expectations in the Manchester City forward line to compete in the 2022-2023 season competition, especially in the Champions League.
Man City have ambitions to become champions for the first time in the Champions League under manager Pep Guardiola. Man City’s best achievement of the Champions League title was in the 2020-2021 season by reaching the final. Unfortunately, they had to lose to Chelsea by a narrow score of 0-1 through goals scored by Kai Havertz.
Haaland’s heavy burden with City appears to be in the offing before the season starts. The reason is that, at Haaland’s age, who is still 21, he has scored 135 goals and produced 36 assists in 183 appearances.

Erling Haaland has completed his move to Premier League champions Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund, the club announced. Haaland, 21, put pen to paper on a five-year deal at the Etihad Stadium.
Haaland said: “This is a proud day for me and my family. I have always watched City and have loved doing so in recent seasons. You can’t help but admire their style of play, it’s exciting and they create a lot of chances, which is perfect for a player like me.”
“I want to score goals, win trophies and improve as a footballer, and I am confident I can do that here. This is a great move for me, and I can’t wait to get started in preseason.”
Haaland will be a key addition to Pep Guardiola’s side as they look to become the first team to win the league for a third successive season since Manchester United in 2009. Similarly, they also want to win the Champions League with young sensation Erling Haaland.
