The mother of the Cristiano Ronaldo has been hospitalized after she suffered a stroke, according to reports in her hometown of Madeira.

These reports indicated that Dolores 65-year-old was admitted to Dr. Nelio Mendonca Hospital on Madeira Island after five in the morning.

Local media have revealed the status of Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother, currently stable, but she is due to undergo new tests in the next few hours to determine her health.

A local newspaper published a report confirming that Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro suffered a stroke caused by a blood clot, which prevented the delivery of blood and oxygen to the brain.

Ronaldo’s mother announced at the beginning of last year that she was fighting for her life after suffering from breast cancer, from which she fully recovered after being diagnosed in 2007.
