Dasarath Stadium to host Nepal vs Pakistan friendly

Dasarath Stadium is hosting two international friendlies against Pakistan next month. All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has begun preparations for a friendly match with the Pakistan team at Dasarath Stadium in December 2020 (next month).

Nepal and Pakistan last played each other in 2018 SAFF Championship. Pakistan defeated Nepal 2-1 in Dhaka at Bangabandhu national stadium. According to the current plan, ANFA has taken the initiative to conduct two games. For this reason, a friendly game is being prepared in the friendly window of FIFA. FIFA’s next window is December, so no exact date has been set so far.

The Nepalese football team returned after having two friendly matches with the Bengals this week. In the first game, Nepal lost 2-0 and drew 0-0 in the second game. The two games were held by Bangladesh at Bangabande National Stadium in Dhaka.

Nepal will participate in an international friendly match to prepare for the second round of the upcoming FIFA World Cup and Asian Cup qualifiers. Nepal will compete with Chinese Taipei, Australia and Jordan in March and June. All three games will be held at Dasarath Stadium in Kathmandu.

Forward Bimal Gharti Magar, midfielder Santosh Tamang and defender Dinesh Rajbanshi have been away from the national team for a long time and they will be required to undergo closed training. The head coach of Nepal’s Bal Gopal Maharjan invited three players for the next friendly match.
