Nepal was scheduled to play home match against Kuwait on November 19 under World Cup Qualifiers, But didn’t play.
The stadium that was damaged by the earthquake in 2015 could not be rebuilt. And, after being told by the Asian Football Federation (AFC) that they were not fit to play stadium inspection, Nepal was forced to go to Bhutan and play a home match against Kuwait.
After a week of missing the World Cup Qualifiers, Nepali footballers have practiced at the Dashrath Stadium. The stadium is almost ready for the 8th South Asian Games (SAG).
Three player changes
Three players have been changed in the Nepali u23 team announced for the SAG. Bimal Gharti Magar Anjan Bista and Dinesh Rajbanshi, who are under suspension, have lost the SAG at home. Rajesh Pariyar, Rajiv Lopchan and Prezan Tamang have been invited to the team.
