‘I can only mark Messi in my dreams!’ – Gattuso preparing Napoli for Barca clash

Napoli coach Gennaro Gattuso answers questions raised by him about how to stop Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi. Napoli will face Barcelona in the Champions League 2019-20.

The aggregate goals of the two teams are equally strong 1-1 from the first leg of round 16. Barca are on top with the away goals. The second leg will take place on (09/08) 02.00 hrs WIB at Camp Nou.

Lionel Messi has so far scored 30 goals and 26 assists in a total of 42 matches in all competitions. This shows Barcelona’s great dependence on the 33-year-old to be a differentiator.

Stopping the six Ballon d’Or winners is clearly an obligation for Naples. When asked how to stop him, Gattuso indirectly admitted that he didn’t know how to do it. Stopping Messi according to Gattuso can only happen in dreams or PlayStation.
