Nepal down 2-0 against Malaysia

Nepal suffered 2-0 loss at the hands of below ranked Malaysia in an international friendly match played at Bukit Jalil stadium. Malaysia started things off on a positive note as Safawi Rasid drew a free kick on the edge of the box in the very first minute.
However, nothing came of it as the winger hit it straight into the wall. Substitute Akhyar Rashid ran through inside the box with the ball in his feet and Ananta Tamang brought him down and Malaysia took the lead in 51st minute through spot kick. In the 83rd minute defender Shahrul Saad of Malaysia flicked home a set-piece, sealing 2-0 win for Malaysia.
Nepal will now head to Chinese Taipei to play yet another international friendly match on June 6.
