Real Madrid won 1-0 over Athletic Club at San Mames Baria on Sunday (5/7/2020) in La Liga. Los Blancos’ winning goal, called Real Madrid, was scored by Sergio Ramos in the 73rd minute.
After the match, Real Madrid was again accused of winning by the referee. The reason is, in the last five matches, Los Blancos get three penalties that determine the victory.
Real Madrid coach, Zidane himself claimed to have had a bad time with these accusations. The man from France was tired of accusations without evidence that Real Madrid benefited by the referee.
“I’m tired because in the end we always talk about the same thing. Looks like we managed to win the match because of the referee’s problem and that’s not what happened,” said Zidane, as quoted by the official club website.
“We are struggling and as usual, the referee sees the action on the television screen (VAR) and gives a penalty because there is indeed a penalty,” the 48-year-old Real Madrid coach continued.
