Erling Haaland’s agent, Mino Raiola, revealed the real cause of the player not joining Manchester United in the 2020 winter transfer market.
In fact, Raiola admitted, Manchester United is the club that most intensively communicates with the agent regarding Haaland.
|”The club with the most direct contact with him is Manchester United,” Raiola told The Telegraph.
“They talk to him the most. Everyone has the opportunity to talk to him directly. We let that happen especially when he knows Ole,” he said.
However, in the end Haaland chose Borussia Dortmund.
“Clearly he (Erling Haaland) feels that at the moment it is not the right step in his career. There is nothing against Manchester United or Ole.
“He chose Borussia Dortmund because he wanted it. I am very happy because he went to the club he wanted and that is the best for him at the moment.
“If he wants to go to Manchester United I will take him there but not,” he stressed.
Erling Haaland wants to mature his career at Dortmund, before looking for more challenges in the future.
“The offer from Manchester United is good. But, when you are 19 years old then maybe you chose not to go to the Premier League,” Raiola said.
Raiola also stressed that Haaland chose Dortmund not because of money.
“It’s not about money. It’s just that the player chose Borussia Dortmund at the stage of his career.”
Raiola also gave a response when Manchester United said the money problem caused Haaland to fail to land at Old Trafford.
“I don’t know if Manchester United explained this but if they do, they are covering up their own losses and I feel strange,” he said.
