As the13th South Asian Games closes, the renovation works of the Pokhara Stadium has gained momentum. National sports council has spent Nrs 63 lakh for Bermuda grass from Kolkata India. The works of laying synthetic track, parapet construction, turf and other infrastructures are currently underway.
Total of 17 toilets planned in the stadium premises, 12 toilets have already been constructed. Not all the seats at the 20 thousands capacity stadium will be installed before the SAG. “Only 8,000 to 10,000 seats will be installed for the SAG.”
Nepal is hosting SA Games next month. Women’s football will be plaed in Pokhara Stdium.
