The ongoing SAFF Women’s Championship has been surrounded by various controversies. There were numerous glitches from the organizing team.
One of the most recent glitch being the inability to play the national anthem of Maldives. The Maldives players were forced to sing their national anthem through microphones. This has raised questions over the commitment of ANFA in organizing the tournament. Meanwhile, ANFA has cited the slow internet service in the ground as the reason behind the glitch.
On the other hand, Bhutan Coach Lee expressed a huge dissatisfaction about the time they had to waste for the searching hotels. “We wasted 9 hours to search for a proper hotel”, Lee said. He argued that the players lost the time to warm-up because of all this.
These kind of mistakes need to be prevented for further chances in organizing these kind of events in Nepal.
