The Union of European Football Associations organizes the UEFA Champions League, an annual club football competition (UEFA). It is Europe’s most prestigious club championship and one of the world’s most-viewed annual sporting events.
The competition structure consists of a group stage followed by a knockout phase. 32 teams are divided into eight groups of four and play home and away. Each group’s top two teams proceed to the round of 16, which is followed by the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final. The UEFA Champions League is won by the team that wins the last match.
