India has been selected to host the SAFF Championship in 2023. This marks its return as the host country for the first time since 2015. In the 2015 championship, India emerged as the winner by defeating Afghanistan. The decision was made during a virtual executive committee meeting held by the South Asian Football Federation on February 14, 2023.

The South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) has awarded Sports Partner International with the marketing and commercial rights for the SAFF Championship. The decision was made during a virtual executive committee meeting on February 14, 2023. The SAFF invited tender bids for the rights on December 13, 2022, and received the winning bid by January 16, 2023.

Sports Partner International has been awarded the rights for four editions of the SAFF Championship until 2029. The 2023 edition of the championship will be held in India. The venue for the 2023 edition of the championship is yet to be confirmed. The All India Football Federation has requested that the decision be announced by March 10, providing ample time for preparations.
