Rohit Chand joins Persik Kediri from Persija Jakarta

Persik Kediri officially recruited Rohit Chand Thakuri, former Persija Jakarta player as well as former best player of 2018 Liga 1.

Nepal international Rohit Chand left Persia Jakarta by mutual consent. Chand played in Persija for seven years and won one league title during his tenure.

Along with Persija Jakarta, Rohit Chand managed to present four championship titles. The 2018 Presidential Cup, Boost Super Cup 2018, Liga 1 2018, and Menpora Cup 2021.

The Himalayan tiger also won the 2018 League 1 best player individual award. He is one of the best foreign Asian player in Indonesia League.

Persik Kediri coach Javier Roca was a happy man with the arrival of Rohit Chand, whom he described as one of the best signings in his current squad.

“When it comes to foreign Asian slots players, I see Rohit Chand as one of the best players in the whole league right now. I am happy that he has joined the big Persik Kediri family and I hope that he will quickly fit into our game system,” said Javier Rova, Persik Kediri coach.

He also explained Rohit’s versatility, who is equally good in the defensive midfielder or central defender position which will greatly help the proud Persikmania team to be able to compete this season.

“He has perception or can read the game well. We will maximize his presence in midfield to be able to maintain balance and control the game longer,” he added.

Persik Kediri’s management said that Rohit Chand would soon join a training camp in Jakarta in preparation for the pre-season tournament and 2022 Indonesian League 1 competition.
